This section is where you'll find my thoughts on life from the eyes of an entrepreneur. The biggest challenge is balancing the success and obligations that success brings as the more successful one becomes, it seems the more obligations they have to the world. Feel free to comment as you follow my journey and general musings regarding that journey.
The family recently went on its first cruise aboard the Carnival Triumph. Yes, the ship that had problems earlier in the year, but don't worry, everything went fine on our trip after the ship underwent $100 million worth of upgrades. Seems the only thing they forgot to upgrade were the TVs, but we weren't going to spend a lot of time watching TV on the cruise anyway. We left from Galveston, TX and headed out on the Gulf of Mexico to the Yucatán Peninsula.
We first stopped on the mainland in Progreso were we visited the Mayan ruins of Dzibilchaltun after spending some time walking along the beach.
Next, we visited the island of Cozumel where we went swimming on the east side of the island where there are crystal clear waters, plenty of sandy beaches and very few tourists compared to the west side of the island. After experiencing the local menu and better tasting Mexican Coca-Cola (they use real sugar instead of high frustose cron syrup and come in tall glass bottles), we headed back to the ship to spend another day an half on the sea.
Overall, it was a great experience and probably something I'd do again in the future to other destinations. Enjoy the photos:
