I recently started experimenting with Bitcoin mining which has required me to refresh some of my *nix command line skills.  It's been a while since I've had to configure, compile, load libraries and perform installations.  With the recent publicity around Bitcoin, I figured it was time to dust off those skills and see what all the fuss is about.  

With only 1/2 bitcent generated so far (that's .005), it's not likely I'll be turning a significant profit anytime soon.
